We have made significant improvements in the efficiency and ease of use of our MaxN32 motors with 40% lower resistance windings and companion Digital Speed Controllers with 3 Amp BEC and improved diagnostics.

Many ask, "What are the advantages of brushless motors?" The answer is that the MaxN32 brushless DC motor can provide, in a single motor, a power range that extends from 6 cells direct drive to 25 cells with gearing. A single motor and control can be used to replace (for example) 5 Astro-Flight cobalt motors from the AFI-05 thru the AFI-Sport60G. (We recommend that you choose our Delta winding for use up to 18 cells and the Wye winding for use up to 28 cells).

Brushless motors offer more efficient operation over a wide range of currents, allowing high power for take-off and aerobatics, while giving up nothing in very efficient part throttle cruise power for long flights. (Keith Shaw has been flying a 6.5 lb. Messerschmidt M35b for 10 minutes of constant aerobatics.) (There are many who report more than 15 minutes of trainer like flight.)

The ease of use of a "true" digital (microprocessor) speed controller requiring no set-up or adjustment, combined with a maintenance-free brushless DC motor requiring no timing adjustment or brush break-in, provides a true "Plug-n-Play" solution.
